Meteorites included in Mix A
Ksar Ghilane 022
An unusual meteorite found in Tunisia. It is classified as an ungrouped achondrite, meaning that it comes from a parent body that underwent geological evolution and differentiation. Compared with ordinary chondrites, it represents a distinctly different type of material and demonstrates how diverse rocks from other bodies in the Solar System can be.
Chondrite
Chondrites are among the oldest and most primitive materials in the Solar System. They did not form on a planet or on the Moon – instead, they preserve material from which the first planetary bodies formed billions of years ago. Customers can therefore take home a genuine remnant from the beginnings of the Solar System.
Al Haggounia 001
This is also a chondritic meteorite, but unlike the general chondrite included in this mix, it has been individually classified. It has its own entry in the official international meteorite database, where its classification, mineralogy and chemical composition are documented. This gives customers a meteorite with a precisely recorded identity and professional classification.
The combination of these three meteorites gives Mix A a strong story: customers can choose between an achondrite, a classic chondrite and a professionally classified chondritic meteorite, discovering several very different forms of material that have arrived from space.
