We operate an e-shop on the website www.alienrocks.art

In order to sell goods and operate our website, we process certain personal data. We are the controller of this data.

The processing of personal data is governed in particular by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) (“GDPR”), and by Czech Act No. 110/2019 Coll., on the Processing of Personal Data.

I. Processing of personal data

A. Processing of personal data when using the contact form

If you enquire about our products and services, we will work with the contact details you provide to us, mainly via the enquiry form. These are: your name, e-mail and the content of your message.

For what purpose?
We use them to contact you to discuss goods and services further.

On what legal basis?
The processing is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR – negotiation of a contract, i.e. taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract.

How long will we process the personal data?
If we do not enter into further cooperation, we will process your data for no longer than 1 year from our last communication.

B. Processing of personal data when making a purchase and registering

If you make a purchase from us, we will work with the data you fill in. These are mainly billing and contact details: name, surname, address, e-mail, telephone number and, where applicable, payment details and bank account number (e.g. for refunds). If you create a user account with us, we also process your login details and order history.

For what purpose?
We need to process the personal data to fulfil our contract – to deliver our goods to you. We will also use your contact details to communicate with you about the status of your order, or about complaints, withdrawal from the contract or your questions.

We will further process the personal data to fulfil our legal obligations (mainly for accounting and tax purposes, or for handling complaints and other matters).

On what legal basis do we process the personal data?
The processing is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR – performance of a contract and Article 6(1)(c) GDPR – compliance with our legal obligation.

Providing this data is necessary for concluding and performing the contract. Without it, we cannot sell or deliver the goods to you.

How long will we process the personal data?
For the duration of the contract and thereafter for the period during which rights under the contract may be exercised (in particular rights arising from defective performance), but no longer than 4 years from delivery of the goods. Data stated on tax and accounting documents is kept for the period required by law, i.e. 10 years from the end of the tax period in which the supply took place. Data in the user account is processed for as long as the account exists.

C. Newsletters (commercial communications)

1. Customers
If you are a customer and did not object to it when making your purchase, we will use your e-mail address to send you news about similar goods.

On what legal basis?
This is permitted by Section 7(3) of Czech Act No. 480/2004 Coll., on Certain Information Society Services, provided you did not object to it when making your purchase. The processing is based on our legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

2. Other subscribers
If you subscribe to the newsletter via the form on our website, we send you news based on your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. You may withdraw your consent at any time.

How long will we process the personal data?
For customers, 5 years from your last purchase; for other subscribers, until consent is withdrawn. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in each e-mail or by contacting us at: topmeteorites@gmail.com

You have the right to object at any time to the processing of your personal data for direct marketing purposes. Once you object, we will no longer send you commercial communications.

D. Comments and reviews

If you write a comment or review on our website, we process the name or nickname you provide (which is displayed publicly with the comment), your e-mail and the content of the comment.

On what legal basis?
The processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR – our legitimate interest in publishing feedback on our goods.

How long will we process the personal data?
For as long as the comment is published. You may ask us to remove it at any time.

II. Who has access to the data?

Your data stays with us. However, some companies or other persons work for us and have access to the data because they help us run our e-shop. These are:

the operator of the Shoptet e-shop platform (Shoptet a.s., registered office Dvořeckého 628/8, Břevnov, 169 00 Prague 6, Company ID 289 35 675, registered with the Municipal Court in Prague, Section B, Insert 25395)
companies involved in shipping goods (Zásilkovna, GLS, Česká pošta)
companies involved in processing payments (Shoptet, Comgate)
marketing agency (Digital First Marketing Group s.r.o.)
providers of analytics and advertising tools (Google Ireland Limited, Meta Platforms Ireland Limited) – only if you consent to cookies

We process personal data primarily within the European Union. When using the services of Google and Meta, data may be transferred to the USA. Such transfers take place on the basis of the European Commission's adequacy decision (EU-US Data Privacy Framework) or on the basis of standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.

III. What else you should know

Our company has not appointed a data protection officer.

Our company does not carry out decision-making based on automated processing or profiling.

V. Your rights in connection with the processing of personal data

The GDPR gives you, among other things, the right to contact us and request information about which of your personal data we process, to request access to this data and have it updated or corrected, or to request restriction of processing; you may request a copy of the personal data processed, request erasure of personal data in certain situations, and in certain cases you have the right to data portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interest.

Where we process your personal data on the basis of consent, you have the right to withdraw it at any time. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing before its withdrawal.

We will respond to your request without undue delay and no later than 1 month of receiving it.

If you believe that we are not handling your data correctly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů, Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Prague 7, www.uoou.gov.cz) or with the supervisory authority in your EU country of residence, or to bring your claims before a court.

This policy is effective from 2.10.2026. It replaces the previous version effective from 1 August 2022.
