Product detailed description
Ash Shaqqah 002 is a rare breccia-type lunar meteorite found in Libya in 2024. It originates from a very old part of the lunar crust. The structure of the meteorite consists mainly of light-colored mineral grains, often supplemented with olivine and pyroxene.
Typical features include shock cavities, tiny vesicles, and, in places, striking orange olivines formed directly in the lunar environment. A total of 329 kg of material was found, making this discovery one of the most significant modern finds of lunar origin – ideal for collectors and as an investment.
