Meteorite from the Moon
A piece of the Moon within reach
Thanks to the samples brought back by the Apollo missions, we can now identify the lunar origin of meteorites with remarkable accuracy. Although these rare lunar rocks are mostly owned by government institutions, there are other ways to bring the Moon within reach. When asteroids collide with the Moon, massive explosions can — and in rare cases still do — eject fragments of the lunar surface into space. Some of these fragments eventually fall to Earth as meteorites, after traveling for thousands of years.
Lunar meteorites make up less than 1% of all known meteorites, which makes them highly sought-after by both collectors and investors. In our collection, you’ll find unique specimens in various sizes and price ranges — from tiny fragments to the true gem of Czech collecting: EL ATCHANE 024, an officially classified lunar meteorite with no equal in the Czech Republic.

EL ATCHANE 024
A rare lunar meteorite of the feldspathic melt breccia type, formed by the fusion of impact melt and lunar crust fragments during a powerful collision. Discovered in 2024 in southern Algeria and officially registered in the international meteorite database as EL ATCHANE 024. We offer only 8 exclusive slices – each bears traces of space melting, shock alterations, and unique lunar geology.

Both the whole specimens and slices of this lunar achondrite reveal a raw origin in the Moon’s crust. Bechar 003 meteorites are rich in plagioclase and low in metal inclusions, which is typical for the Moon’s bright highlands. An ideal choice for collectors seeking an authentic, raw, and visually striking piece of lunar rock.
